Willamette Park West Linn Cleanup

Oregon boaters, we invite you to join us on Saturday, June 17th, from 9 am – 12 pm at Willamette Park in West Linn for a remarkable park cleanup event in conjunction with SOLVE and the City of West Linn! Together, we can make a tangible difference in our local ecosystem and showcase our commitment to keeping our parks and the Newberg Pool healthy. Plus, two lucky participants will win a performance lifeacket to start boating season right! Advanced registration required:

What to Do: Please join us in removing invasive species and weeds to beautify the recreational areas and improve the habitat for native plants and creatures. It is a scenic area along the Newberg Pool riverfront.


What’s Provided: Tools and gloves will be available, but it is helpful if you can bring your own gloves, hand saws, and loppers/pruners. Drinking water containers and snack bars will be available.


What to Bring: Bring a filled reusable water bottle if desired.


What to Wear: Comfortable closed-toe shoes. Pants and long sleeves are encouraged. Dress appropriately in layers, for the weather conditions.


Parking: Ample free parking is available at the site or across the street in the boat launch parking lot across Volpp Street or on 12th Street near Volpp.


Bathrooms: There are public restrooms on the premises near the intersection of 12th Street and Volpp Street.


Accessibility: The ground is somewhat uneven, and can be muddy and slippery, so caution is advised when on the dirt trails. It is unfortunately, not suitable for those with ADA needs.


Where to Meet: Park or drop off across from the boat parking lot entry road, 2050 Volpp Street, West Linn. Look for the registration table under the wetland shelter table area and SOLVE sign on the lawn.
