Calling all Lake Billy Chinook, Foster Lake and Fern Ridge Reservoir boaters! Wake the World, the largest volunteer organization dedicated to providing foster children with watersports opportunities, needs your support. Wake the World is eagerly anticipated by foster children and volunteers alike, as it creates a day filled with unforgettable memories and transformative experiences. By bringing together a community of caring individuals, the event generates a ripple effect of positivity that extends far beyond the day itself.
If you’re inspired to make a difference, there are three ways you can contribute to the success of Wake the World.
- The greatest need is to become a volunteer boat driver (V drive or direct drive only). Driving is an excellent way to engage with the children and witness the joy firsthand directly.
- Become a volunteer - from serving meals, fitting life vests, holding boats at the dock, registration, volunteers are needing to pull off this amazing day for these wonderful kids.
- Donate to support the event’s logistics and ensure its success.
